PROJECT LEAD

Realizing Operational Improvement, LLC is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Project Lead position for our industrial engineering consulting company headquartered in Highland, MI.

Duties Include:
The Project Lead will be responsible for providing the solutions and deliverables for industrial engineering consulting proposals and projects and managing an engineering team. The Project Lead will be the primary technical point of contact for customers on all assigned projects and will be responsible for insuring that all project technical deliverables meet the requirements of the project from a scope, budget, and schedule perspectives. Will be responsible for management of ROI industrial and manufacturing engineers who are performing projects at customer sites including evaluating current state working conditions for facility requirements; updating layouts of record to reflect current state; observing operators and automation to create current state standard work; updating current state standard work; utilizing Value Stream Mapping and Lean Manufacturing Best Practices to improve current state and optimize work force; creating future state Standardized Work and Layout; gaining approval from manufacturing to ensure buy-in on proposed changes; implementing future state changes into manufacturing and realize operational savings; and monitoring implementation and resolve any issues which may arise. 100% travel to various unanticipated client site locations is required.   

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum education and experience requirements for the Project Lead position is a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field plus 3 years’ experience as an industrial engineer which must include (and can be gained concurrently):

3 years working with 5S, Poka-Yoke or other established problem-solving methodology in LEAN manufacturing setting.
3 years performing failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
3 years conducting time study analyses.
3 years identifying bottlenecks and improving and optimizing process flows.
2 years working with ISO 9000 or 9001 standards and requirements.
